On March 1, 2019, Lekan Akinsoji, better known as CB in the drill world, was sentenced to 23 years in prison over an incident involving a police chase through residential streets of east London.

Akinsoji and four other gang members were pursued by police after they went on a “ride out” to target rivals when the incident occurred.

In court, dramatic dashcam footage showed a person wearing a clown mask pointing a sawn-off shotgun out the window of a car at police.

The chase ended when the vehicle was driven the wrong way down a one way road in Leytonstone, where Akinsoji emerged from the car wearing a clown mask.

The other three occupants of the vehicle also had face coverings and gloves on. A fifth man, who was behind the wheel, managed to escape and has not been arrested to this day.

An arsenal of weapons was seized from the vehicle, including a loaded sawn-off shotgun, two lock knives, a machete, an axe, a zombie knife, and a hunting knife.

One officer described the situation as “overwhelming” and likened the mask worn by Akinsoji to something you would see in a film. Below, you can see the video of the dashcam footage, showing CB waving the sawn-off shotgun at police officers.
